I do every once in a while. But I cant in the winter because my horse has sliders. And now I have no one to go with me so this summer I'll probably stay out of the trails adn just ride in the feild. But I really enjoy trail riding. Its so relaxing.

What are sliders?

I trail rode almost every day last summer. I'm going to be doig a lot more show training than trail riding this summer though.

Good luck with the training.

Sliders are shoes that go on the back hoof only and the let the horse do sliding stops. its an absolute MUST for reining horses. Without them most horses can slide about 2 feet and they'll bounce out of the ground a lot. with sliders horses can slide 8-25 feet (my horse usually slides about 20 feet).

Meh, there nothin special, just a standard shoes for reining horses, and there only on the back, but a lot of times we have to tape up the front hoofs so the sliders dont clip them and yank them off in the sliding stop.
